Armenian football federation disqualifies player for insulting opponent

YEREVAN, AUGUST 12, ARMENPRESS. The Football Federation of Armenia (FFA) has fined the Urartu FC (formerly known as Banants FC) and disqualified one of its players.

During a Premier League match against Shirak FC, Artak Dashyan from Urartu FC had verbally insulted one of the player’s from the opposing team.

At a disciplinary committee session, the FFA decided to disqualify Dashyan for two matches and fine Urartu FC with 250,000 drams.

Shirak FC had won 3:1 in the abovementioned match.
