Armenia international Grant-Leon Ranos joins Spanish side Tenerife

Armenia national team forward Grant-Leon Ranos will continue his career with newly promoted Spanish Segunda División club Tenerife.

The transfer was announced by German club Borussia Mönchengladbach, from whom Tenerife signed the striker.

“Grant joined us at a young age and had the opportunity to show what he was capable of and to develop here. However, after three years, he was unable to establish himself in our first team, despite having the potential to do so. We therefore decided to end our cooperation. A fresh start in a new country and a new league could benefit him. We wish him all the best in this new stage of his career,” Borussia Mönchengladbach sporting director Ruwen Schröder said.

Ranos joined Borussia Mönchengladbach in 2023 from Bayern Munich’s youth academy. He made 22 appearances for the club’s first team, scoring two goals. He also featured in 17 matches for Borussia Mönchengladbach II, registering eight goals and 10 assists.

 Ranos spent the second half of the 2024/25 season on loan at Kaiserslautern and the second half of the 2025/26 campaign on loan at Eintracht Braunschweig.
