Inmate arrested after 27 YEARS from prison break

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 4, ARMENPRESS. A 47-year-old man has been arrested by Yerevan police upon arrival at the city’s airport on board a Moscow-Yerevan flight in the morning of February 2.

Police said the man was wanted since August 1992 on charges of prison escape. Police identified the man as Mamikon S. He was wanted by the Ashtarak Police Department.

Authorities did not disclose other details.
