Armenophobic manifestations in Azerbaijan exist both in children’s and school literature: "Azerichild.education" website launched

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 20, ARMENPRESS. There are manifestations of Armenophobia in Azerbaijan not only in children’s and youth literature, fairy-tales, poems, children's games, educational and popular literature for children, but also in textbooks and methodological manuals, sociologist Armine Adibekyan, candidate in political sciences, said during the presentation of Azerichild.education website in Yerevan, reports Armenpress.

According to her, Armenophobia and xenophobia in general are included in all subjects of the Azerbaijani literature, including in Russian textbooks.

“The Azerichild.education website is presented in two languages – Russian and English. A fourth-grader in Azerbaijan reads a poetry which says Azerbaijan would be happier if Armenia didn’t exist”, she said.

Political scientist Angela Elibegova called the Armenophobic manifestations in the Azerbaijani literature as horrible. “Such manifestations exist not only in the history textbooks, but also in literature and even in music textbooks. We also have the original sources in the website. Moreover, there are materials instilled with hatred not only against Armenians, but also Georgians”, she said.

Azerichild.education website has been created by the assistance of the Public Relations and Information Center SNCO of the Armenian Presidential staff.

Azerichild.education is a part ofAzerichild.info, a large-scale project, in which general public both in Armenia and abroad have an opportunity to get to know the most dangerous manifestation of Armenophobia in Azerbaijan.
