President Sargsyan participates in Church-Representative Assembly in Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin

YEREVAN, JUNE 8, ARMENPRESS. At the invitation of His Holiness Garegin II, Supreme Patriarch and Catholicos of All Armenians, President Serzh Sargsyan on June 8 participated in the Church-Representative Assembly in the Mother See of Holy Etchmiadzin which was launched on June 6, press service of the President’s Office told Armenpress.

His Holiness Garegin II opened the session, thereafter the President welcomed the clergymen and wished good luck to the 6th Assembly, expressing readiness to answer to the questions of meeting participants which related to church-state relations, the works on peaceful settlement of the Artsakh issue, Armenia’s defense and security, the situation in Armenian-Azerbaijani border, the social-economic issues faced by the country, the assistance provided to Syrian-Armenians refugees, further strengthening of Armenia-Diaspora ties.
