President Serzh Sargsyan pays working visit to Berd and Ijevan regions of Tavush Province

YEREVAN, JUNE 6, ARMENPRESS. President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan visited on June 6 the branch of “Tavush textile” company located in the bordering Artsvaberd community of Tavush Province.

As “Armenpress” was informed from the press service of the Armenian President’s Office, President Serzh Sargsyan, accompanied by Minister of Economic Development and Investments Suren Karayan, the leadership of “Tavush textile” and the Provincial authorities toured in the factory of the company, got acquainted with the investments made, the recent works, export volumes and the development programs of the company. In the sidelines of the working visit President Sargsyan also visited the branch of “Tavush textile” located in Berd. The representatives of the company informed the President that “Tavush textile” company established in 2015 has factories in Choratan, Artsvaberd and Mosesgegh communities, while the construction works of new branches in Berd and Parvakar communities. The company now has 274 employees with an average salary of 120 thousand AMD.

Serzh Sargsyan also met with the residents of Artsvaberd community and Berd town, and visited the St. George church of Berd.

In Berd region of Tavush Province President Sargsyan visited “Apaga resort” and ”Yell Extreme Park” located in Yenokavan. Serzh Sargsyan, accompanied by the Minister of Economic Development and Investments, ChairpersonofState Tourism Committee and the leadership of the mentioned companies toured in the area and familiarized himself with the conditions created for the development of extreme and adventure tourism in Yenokavan, including the hotel infrastructures.

In the same community President Sargsyan visited the hotel complex called “French village”, got acquainted with the construction works of the complex. In 2014 a memorandum of understanding was signed between Armenia’s Yenokavan and French Villecroze communities, according to which the two communities became sister communities.
