Presidents of Armenia and Artsakh visit Stepanakert Memorial Complex

YEREVAN, MAY 9, ARMENPRESS. On May 9 within the framework of celebrations to mark the Victory Holiday, the 25th anniversary of the Artsakh Republic Defense Army and the Liberation of Shushi, Artsakh Republic President Bako Sahakyan together with President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan and NKR second President Arkady Ghukasyan visited the Stepanakert Memorial Complex, laid a wreath and flowers to the monuments commemorating heroes fallen in the Great Patriotic War and the Artsakh Liberation War, press service of the Artsakh President’s Office told Armenpress.

On the same day Bako Sahakyan, Serzh Sargsyan and Arkady Ghukasyan visited the town of Shushi and laid garlands and flowers to the pedestal of the tank-monument and the monument of Sparapet Vazgen Sargsyan.

The leaders of the two Armenian states were also present at “The Town of Arts and Crafts» exhibition-fair and watched the festive concert organized in the Vazgen Sargsyan square of Shuushi.

Primate of the Artsakh Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church Archbishop Pargev Martirosyan, Armenia’s Parliament speaker Galust Sahakyan, Artsakh National Assembly chairman Ashot Ghulyan, Prime Minister Arayik Harutyunyan, high-ranking officials from Artsakh and Armenia, guests from the Diaspora and abroad attended the festive events.
