Predominantly sunny weather forecast for May 8,9 in Armenia

YEREVAN, MAY 6, ARMENPRESS. Rain and thunderstorms are forecast in significant parts of Armenia after midday May 7. Hailstorms are possible in separate areas, head of the meteorology center Gagik Surenyan said on Facebook.

“On May 8 and May 9after midday rain and thunderstorms will be maintained only in Shirak, Lori, Tavush, Aragatsotn and mountainous parts of Kotayk and Gegharkunik.

Predominantly sunny weather is forecast in the lower parts of Aragatsotn and Kotayk, in Ararat, Armavir, Vayots Dzor, Syunik, Artsakh and Yerevan for May 8 and May 9.

Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected in late evenings”, Surenyan said.

A 3-4 degree increase in temperature is expected.
