YEREVAN, DECEMBER 16, ARMENPRESS. The Parliament of Armenia completely adopted the bill on criminalizing the illicit enrichment at the second reading, reports “Armenpress”.
96 MPs voted in favor of the bill on making changes and amendments in the Criminal Code and Criminal Procedure Code of Armenia, 1 MP abstained.
The bill proposes that those officials who have been illegally enriched will be held criminally responsible from three to six years in prison, whose increase in assets or reduction in liabilities significantly exceeds their legal revenues and which is not reasonably justified by them.
