Greek cities illuminate landmarks in Armenian flag colors for Independence anniversary

On the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the independence of the Republic of Armenia, the famous fountains at Omonoia Square in Athens were illuminated in the colors of the Armenian flag during the night of September 29-30, as a result of cooperation between the Athens City Hall and the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Greece.

The Embassy of Armenia in Greece said that, as a result of cooperation with the municipalities of Komotini and Ioannina, Komotini’s Peace Square and the building of the Ioannina City Hall were also illuminated in the colors of the Armenian flag on September 29 to mark the occasion.
