Speaker meets with outgoing Greek ambassador to Armenia

Speaker of Parliament Ruben Rubinyan held a meeting on Tuesday with Greece’s outgoing Ambassador to Armenia, Christos Sofianopoulos.

The Speaker thanked the Ambassador for his significant contribution to the development of interparliamentary ties between the two countries during his tenure and wished him success in his future endeavors, according to a readout.

The Ambassador, in turn, congratulated Rubinyan on his election as Speaker.

The sides discussed issues related to further deepening and strengthening relations between Armenia and Greece, which are based on friendship and shared values.

In the context of deepening interparliamentary cooperation, the importance of strengthening ties between the parliamentary friendship groups was emphasized.
