President of Armenia receives IMF Executive Director of Dutch-Belgian Subgroup

YEREVAN, MAY 13, ARMENPRESS. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan received International Monetary Fund Executive Director of Dutch-Belgian Subgroup Menno Snel on May 13, Press Service of the Presidential Administration informed “Armenpress”.

The Armenian President expressed gratitude to the Executive Director for properly representing the interestս of Armenia during his 5 years in office. Taking into account that Menno Snel is completing its activity in the current position, the Armenian President wished success in his future endeavors and expressed hope that Armenia will have the same efficient and constructive cooperation with the next IMF Executive Director.

Serzh Sargsyan highly appreciated the role of IMF in the implementation of Armenia’s economic policy and stated that due to the long-term partnership with the IMF significant economic reforms were made in our country during the recent years.

Despite the numerous challenges, external negative influences, the President mentioned that due to the joint efforts with the IMF Armenia achieved some progress and is interested in continuing the cooperation with it.

Menno Snel expressed his satisfaction on the Armenia-IMF partnership relations and jointly implemented programs and stated that foundation has been set up for further partnership.
