"Yerevan Bestseller” project of “Armenpress” news agency, which presents the most demanded books in Armenia, is conducted with conscience not pursuing any commercial aim, Aram Ananyan, thedirectorof “Armenpress”News Agency said after the “Bestseller of the year” award ceremony, in the interview with reporters.
“When we started to conduct the project, the number of books was few. In fact, printings and sales were smaller. The number of books and the interest towards books increased year after year. We wish that not 10, but hundreds, thousands of books were sold in order to assist our society to pay its attention towards books, reading and literary values. The project aims at realizing the mentioned above as well,” Aram Ananyan mentioned, “Armenpress” reports.
According to the directorof “Armenpress”News Agency, “Yerevan Bestseller” is conducted to familiarize our readers with literary news, good literature, and also to enhance the contention and book sales. Aram Ananyan assures interesting books are always in demand.
“Yerevan Bestseller” aims at promotion of Armenian books, literature and reading. It is one of the successful and read projects of “Armenpress” which continues to collect and present the data provided by bookstores, on most sold books. The other version of the project is “Children’s bestseller” which successfully continues its course.
