YEREVAN, 23 DECEMBER, ARMENPRESS. On December 20, at midnight, the Keron Development Foundation transformed Yerevan's "Yeritasardakan" metro station into a unique venue, combining exceptional music, stunning lighting effects, and a festive atmosphere. Together with partners, supporters, and distinguished guests, the foundation reflected on its first nine months of achievements, key collaborations, and plans for the future. Honorable attendees included Yerevan’s Mayor Tigran Avinyan, High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs Zareh Sinanyan, Head of the Kentron Administrative District Petros Petoyan, and other notable figures.
The highlight of the evening was an unforgettable performance by the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra, which delighted the audience with a specially curated program, creating magical moments for all in attendance.
The choice of venue was tied to the announcement of the foundation's new "Musical Metro" project, set to launch in collaboration with Yerevan Metropolitan from January to March 2025. This initiative will feature weekly small-scale concerts at the "Yeritasardakan" metro station, aiming to enliven public spaces, enrich the city’s cultural life, and provide a platform for talented musicians. The project continues the foundation's commitment to enhancing urban life through art, following the success of similar concerts held at Cascade throughout the summer, which were warmly embraced by Yerevan residents.
In her opening remarks, Vanane Araktsyan, Executive Director of the Keron Development Foundation, expressed gratitude to attendees, saying:
“Thank you for joining us at this late hour and in this unusual venue. Tonight, we gather for three reasons: to reflect on the foundation’s achievements over the past months, to announce the launch of our new metro project, and to enjoy the festive performance of the Armenian State Symphony Orchestra. I should also mention that additional projects with the metro are under discussion, and we look forward to sharing updates with you soon.”
A video summarizing the foundation’s first months of operation was also presented, featuring testimonials from key partners. In the video, the Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport of RA, Zhanna Andreasyan, highlighted Keron Development Foundation’s critical role in major initiatives this year. She specifically mentioned the historic exhibition of the Goddess Anahit statue, support for tennis player Elina Avanesyan in representing Armenia internationally, and collaboration on the complete renovation of Yerevan State Medical University’s library.
This extraordinary evening not only celebrated past achievements but also set the stage for an exciting future, embodying the foundation’s mission to drive transformative change in Armenia.
