YEREVAN, DCEMBER 24, ARMENPRESS. Customs officers of the fight against Smuggling and Double CustomsControlDepartment of the Armenian Ministry of Finance, implementing the operative information, inspected H. Kh. owned cargo in the customs control zone who had taken clothing from Turkey to Armenia through an intermediary organization. As the Information and Public Relations Department of the Armenian Finance Ministry informed “Armenpress”, as the result of inspection gold jewelry hidden from customs control were revealed in the citizen owned sacks of clothes of more than 100kg. Their total weight was 1529 grams.
This year's other major findings related to the illegal transit of drugs. Due to extensive operational and intelligence joint work with the National Security Service officers, the attempt of exporting 1.5kg “Opium” drug was prevented.
