Syrian Parliament Speaker asked to transmit Assad’s gratitude to Serzh Sargsyan

YEREVAN, OCTOBER 22, ARMENPRESS. Armenian Prime Minister Galust Sahakyan met with Syrian Parliament SpeakerMohammad Jihad Al-Laham who expressed his gratitude to Armenia for assisting them. As department of public relations and Press service of Armenian National Assembly informed “Armenpress” the meeting took place in the frames of 133rd IPU Assembly.

Welcoming Suyrian parliament Speaker head of Armenian National Assembly mentioned that Armenia feels a big pain over the events in Syria.

“We are more than friends with Syria. We never forget that Syria accepted warmly the Armenians escaped from Genocide and assured life conditions for them”, Galust Sahakyan mentioned in his speech.

Speaking about multilateral cooperation with Syria, Galust Sahakyan assured that Armenian MPs well continue to stay near friend Syria in all international podiums.

Syrian parliament Speaker invited Galust Sahakyan to Syria.

Mohammad Jihad Al-Laham expressed his gratitude for the meeting and mentioned: “Russian-Syrian alliance recorded serious successes. We are grateful to you for staying near us and supporting us and I ask you to transmit Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s gratitude to Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan”.
