Serzh Sargsyan was introduced to rose and cucumber thermal economiesin Kotayk Province

YEREVAN, 15 MAY, ARMENPRESS. President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan visited today Kotayk Province. The President of the Republic of Armenia visited the Ecotomoato CJSC rose thermal complex based in Goght village of the province, was introduced to the company’s recent activities carried out for expansion of production, the investment and development programs, the jobs that had been created and the production carried out through state-of-the-art technologies.

As the Department of Public Relations and Mass Media of the Structure to the Office of the President of the Republic of Armenia reports to “Armenpress”, the President was told that Ecotomato CJSC has a thermal complex with a 8 ha general surface area for which it spent AMD 7.7 billion to build, has created 120 jobs with an average salary of AMD 140,000. The company grows 24 types of Dutch roses, exports 70-80% of the products to the Russian Federation, Belarus and Georgia and sells 20-30% in the domestic market.

The President also visited the Progres Agro Ltd. cucumber thermal economy in the Nor Geghi village of the province where the company has established a thermal complex on nearly 50 ha land parcel. Serzh Sargsyan was introduced to the activities carried out and the upcoming projects.

During the visit, representatives of the field of agriculture informed the President about the overall state of thermal economy in the Republic of Armenia, the trends for development and the process of implementation of the state policy contributing to that.
