His Holiness Aram I spoke about problems of Syrian-Armenian in New Jersey

YEREVAN, 15 MAY, ARMENPRESS. His Holiness Aram I answered to the questions during the meeting with the hundreds of the executives of New Jersey’s Armenian community, which were largely related to the 100th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, the lawsuit in the Turkish Constitutional Court to regain ownership of the Sis Catholicosate, the Armenian-Syrian, the situation in the Middle East, Armenia-Diaspora relations and the mission of the Great House of Cilicia. "Armenpress" was informed about this by the official website of the Catholicosate of Cilicia.

Talking about the Syrian-Armenian, His Holiness noted. "Since the first day of the Syrian crisis, in consultation with the Syrian, the Holy See has clearly adopted a position. We, as a community, we are with the Syrian people. The regimes do not last forever, Syria is permanent by its people. We, as Syrian-Armenian are always grateful to the people of Syria, because after the Armenian Genocide they accepted us and shared their homeland and bread with our nation's children”. The Catholicos considered priority the restoration of the Syrian community, thus, on that purpose, contributions had carried out and till today are continued.
