Armenia’s President sends letter of condolences on occasion of Eduard Shevardnadze’s death

YEREVAN, JULY 8, ARMENPRESS. Today, the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan sent a letter of condolences to the President of Georgia Giorgi Margvelashvili on the occasion of the Georgian and Soviet prominent political and public figure Eduard Shevardnadze’s death.

The Department of Mass Media and Public Relations of the President’s Staff of the Republic of Armenia informed Armenpress that the letter runs as follows: “Eduard Shevardnadze really had a significant role not only in the establishment and strengthening of independent Georgia, but also in the formation of the new world-order. The role of Eduard Shevardnadze is also great in the strengthening of the Armenian-Georgian various relations.

I express my deepest condolences to You and the friendly people of Georgia, as well as words of comfort and support to the relatives and friends of Eduard Shevardnadze.”
