Armenia’s President receives PACE co-rapporteurs

YEREVAN, JUNE 17, ARMENPRESS. Today, the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan received PACE co-rapporteurs Axel Fischer and Alan Mill who arrived in Armenia by fact-finding mission.

The Department of Mass Media and Public Relations of the President’s Staff of the Republic of Armenia informed Armenpress that Serzh Sargsyan welcomed the guests and expressed confidence that their joint mission will be efficient within the interests of Armenia-PACE cooperation. The President highly appreciated the consistent involvement of co-rapporteurs in the way of Armenia's democratization.

At the course of the meeting the interlocutors reacted on the process of Armenia’s commitments to the EC membership. The sides noted that the deep reforms carried out in Armenia in recent years towards the rights protection and deepening of legal state principles have been consistent. The interlocutors assure that the progress is visible.
