Armenia’s President visits modernized plant of Ararat gold extraction

YEREVAN, APRIL 28, ARMENPRESS. Today, the President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan paid a working visit to Ararat Province. The President of the Republic attended the exploitation ceremony of "Albion" new technological workshop in the area of Ararat gold extraction of "GeoProMining" diversified group of mining companies. The President participated its groundbreaking still in July 2011. The workshop became a reality within the frames of the modernization program of "GeoProMining" company Ararat gold extraction plant.

The Department of Mass Media and Public Relations of the President’s Staff of the Republic of Armenia informed Armenpress that accompanied by the leadership of the company and the consecutive officials of the Republic of Armenia, Serzh Sargsyan toured around the factory and got acquainted with the realized investments, the activities fulfilled within their frames and the productive powers of the factory. The President was informed that the investment volume of one of the greatest investors of Armenia’s economy "GeoProMining" group for the modernization of Sotk mining and Ararat factory amounts over 140 million U.S. dollars, while the general investment volume of the company for the acquisition of enterprises and modernization in Armenia amounts more than 370 million U.S. dollars.
