Scientists to produce Armenian brand medicines

YEREVAN, NOVEMBER 14, ARMENPRESS։The pharmacists of Armenia suggest making the production of new medicines one of the urgent objectives. The President of the Union of Medicine Producers and Importers of the Republic of Armenia Samvel Zakaryan told about it to Armenpress. “For years our scientists have had ideas, which were not brought to life. Now our aim is to create Armenian brand medicines in the nearest future”, - said Zakaryan.

The Armenian medicine producing companies output more than 300 kinds of medicines.

During the first half of the year of 2013 about 877 tons of medicines were exported from the Republic of Armenia with the total customs value of $3 million.

The main export markets of the Armenian production are the Russian Federation, Georgia, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Ukraine and Belarus.
