Armenpress Director Narine Nazaryan met with Czech News Agency (ČTK) Director General Jaroslav Kábele during a visit to the agency’s office in Prague to discuss possible areas and frameworks for cooperation.
Nazaryan and Kábele discussed ČTK’s broader innovation efforts. ČTK has long embraced digital transformation, using automated news workflows for years and developing AI guidelines for its staff. The agencies identified several areas of mutual interest, from editorial system upgrades to multilingual publishing and photo content, that could offer practical value for both sides.
The heads of the two agencies proudly noted that, since their founding in 1918, both Armenpress and ČTK have for more than a century carried out their mission with a strong sense of responsibility and commitment to keeping the public informed and providing transparent and impartial news coverage.
The Director General of ČTK gave the Director of Armenpress a tour of the ČTK building. He showed her the historical exhibition and the newsroom and explained ČTK’s specific status, its operations and its business model.
The meeting also covered ČTK’s experience of working with international media organizations, including the role such cooperation plays for participating media outlets, its contribution to bringing regions closer together, and its role in helping countries and peoples better understand one another.
The meeting was later joined by ČTK Chief Technology Officer Jan Pluskal and Profimedia Business Director Ivan Milojević, who presented several of their products, including AGNES, SOLWEE and Profimedia. Hayk Manukyan, Armenpress photojournalist, also joined the discussion. Nazaryan was briefed on the practical application of innovative technologies and solutions in their work, and the sides discussed possible areas of cooperation.
Among the products presented during the meeting were AGNES, a solution developed by ČTK to support news agencies in managing and processing editorial content; SOLWEE, a technology solution presented as part of ČTK’s digital and innovation portfolio; and Profimedia, a platform providing access to professional photo and video content for media and other clients.
