Vladimir Putin congratulates Armenian President on Independence Day

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 21, ARMENPRESS: The President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin congratulated the Armenia’s President Serzh Sargsyan and all the Armenian citizens on the occasion of the 22nd anniversary of the independence of Armenia. As reported by Armenpress, quoting the official website of the Russian President, Vladimir Putin highly praised the Armenia’s successes in the socioeconomic, scientific and technological, cultural development and pointed to the country’s growing standing in the international arena.

Putin also stressed that the Russian-Armenian relations have elevated to the level of allied partnership and they will continue to develop.

In addition, the Russian Federation President expressed the conviction that with joint efforts Armenia and Russia will strengthen the bilateral ties and expand the cooperation, including in the context of Armenia’s accession to the Customs Union which, as per Vladimir Putin, is consistent with the interests of the peoples of the two countries.
