GYUMRI, SEPTEMBER 20, ARMENPRESS. The President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan paid a working visit to the Shirak Province on September 20. As reports "Armenpress" the Head of the Republic attended the opening of Musical School No. 6 after Azat Shishyan, toured in the educational institution, watched a concert by the pupils, after which the President planted a symbolic tree in the yard of the school.
At the course of the press conference soloist and lyricist of Deep Purple rock band Ian Gillan, who was actively engaged in project, noted that the initiative was finally accomplished by the opening of the school.
Among other things Ian Gillan underscored: "I fought back my tears, as I sow this building, because now we have a fascinating and beautiful school. I can already hear the music. I didn't even manage to meet the students within the framework of this visit, notwithstanding I met with a number of pupils last time I was here. I am confident that this school will give virtuous musicians. The school is built for everyone and everyone must enjoy the music."
