Serzh Sargsyan to meet Vladimir Putin in Moscow

YEREVAN, SEPTEMBER 3, ARMENPRESS: The President of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan will meet with the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on September 3 in Moscow in the framework of the working visit. As reported by Armenpress, during the negotiations the interlocutors will discuss the bilateral relations, as well as the cooperation in the political, economic, energy and humanitarian fields. The discussion of the integration processes in the CIS area and the guarantee of the security and stability on the South Caucasus is also expected.

The diplomatic relations between the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation have been established on April 3 1992. The Embassy of Russia to Armenia has been functioning since 1992 and the Armenian Embassy has been working in Moscow since 1994. Multilateral cooperation has been formed between the two countries.

During the last 17 years more than 170 intergovernmental, interstate and interagency agreements have been signed between the Republic of Armenia and the Russian Federation in the political, military, economic and humanitarian spheres.
