GM Sergei Movsisyan – king of live chess duel in Banská Štiavnica

YEREVAN, JULY 22, ARMENPRESS: The Armenian Grand Master Sergei Movsisyan beat the Grand Master Jan Markos (Slovakia) and became the king of the live chess duel that was held within the framework of the festival in Banská Štiavnica, Slovakia. As Armenpress was reported by the Armenian Chess Federation, this is the 5th time Movsisyan has been crowned as a king in Banská Štiavnica. Before this he got that title in 2005, 2006, 2007 and 2008 winning accordingly against Grand Masters Stohl, Navara, Hracek and Markos.

Sergei Movsisyan scored 7,5 points out of 9 and took the first prize at the blitz tournament that was held in Pardubice, Czech Republic.

Movsisyan was ahead of 95 chess players among which were 31 grand masters.
