Aleksandr Iskandaryan considers Serzh Sargsyan to be the favorite of upcoming elections

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 16, ARMENPRESS: Serzh Sargsyan is the favorite of presidential elections of Armenia. This was noted by political expert Aleksandr Iskandaryan during interview with journalists on February 16. “I think there are few people who doubt about Serzh Sargsyan victory and victory in first stage,” Armenpress reports this was noted by Iskandaryan. According to him Gagik Tsarukyan could have been competitive running mate for Serzh Sargsyan. Political expert divided the rest of candidates into two, considering campaign of Raffi Hovhannisyan and Hrant Bagratyan to be classical.

According to observations of Harutyun Movsisyan, prospect of Serzh Sargsyan’s re-election were seeable yet from parliamentary elections. Expert considered suggestion of Hrant Bagratyan concerning 100 steps to differ from others, though it was not a program yet.

1988 polls have been formed in 41 constituencies for the presidential elections of Armenia taking place on February 18. Presidential candidate Aram Harutyunyan applied to CEC on February 8 in order to withdraw his candidacy.

Electronic voting launched on February 9 and concluded on February 13. Results of presidential elections will be concluded on February.
