GYUMRI, FEBRUARY 13, ARMENPRESS. Gyumri hosted Armenian presidential candidate Paruyr Hayrikyan on February 13. During the meeting held in the State Dramatic Theater after Vardan Ajemyan the candidate noted that the Gyumri visit is "the first day of his real campaign." The head of the Union for National Self-Determination Party described how these elections differ from the previous and what served a reason for his participation in these elections for the first time. "It stands to reason that there is a freedom of speech and as we have a lot of important things to do, I have decided to take part in these elections," the Armenian presidential candidate mentioned.
As "Armempress" reports during the meeting Hayrikyan introduced a few important issues of his program mainly regarding changes in constitutional and judicial systems to the Gyumri voters. "During this process voters have heard a lot of promises but the most significant thing for the candidate is to understand what the population needs. We have regained statehood to a certain degree, but the sense of honesty is still little. In the last decades I have created the model of ideal democratic state."
