World philately exhibition to be launched dedicated to Armenian Genocide 100th anniversary

YEREVAN, AUGUST 10, ARMENPRESS: World philately exhibition is scheduled to be launched in 2015 dedicated to 100th anniversary of Armenian Genocide. Armenian philatelists’ union head Hovik Musayelyan told in the briefing with Armenpress large and attractive collection of stamps ,postcards and envelops on Armenian Genocide collected by world philatelists is set to be demonstrated during the upcoming exhibition. ‘’ The launch of joint exhibition will enable a chance to bring together all the samples and present it to the international community" the interlocutor told.

In the words of Musayelyan there is already an agreement with Genocide Museum-Institute's director and administrative works are being carried out aimed in the collection of stamps, envelopes and postcards. ‘’ Hayk Demoyan does not miss a single opportunity to inform about the forthcoming exhibition during his foreign visits. Currently we are in inventory stage to learn what scale exhibition we are going to held’’ Musayelyan told.

Philatelists’ union head stated regardless the fact the exhibition is scheduled to be launched in Yerevan, there is an intention to show it in other countries as well. ‘’ We should step up efforts to organize the exhibition in a way it could be later on portable so convenient to be taken abroad, Turkey inclusive’’ Musayelyan noted.

Union of philatelists of Armenia is a full member in World and European philatelists’ association. Having a history of decades it is the single one in the South Caucasus which is a member of World and European philatelists’ association.
