Serzh Sargsyan received Minister of National Defense of Lithuania

YEREVAN, JUNE 25, ARMENPRESS: The president of the Republic of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan hosted Minister of National Defense of Lithuania Rasa Jukneviciene. President’s Press Office informed Armenpress, the interlocutors touched upon Armenian-Lithuanian relations in various fields, including defense cooperation between Armenia and Lithuania, cooperation between the two countries within the EU Eastern Partnership, and regional developments.

Minister of National Defense Rasa Jukneviciene had a meeting with her Armenian counterpart Seyran Ohanyan on June 24.A cooperation agreement was signed between the two Defense Ministries.

In the second half of 2013 Lithuania is scheduled to assume EU presidency and in that context, in accordance with Mr. Rasa Jukneviciene there will be favorable conditions to establish relations with Armenia. Within the framework of meeting with Seyran Ohanyan Lithuanian Minister of National Defense had planted a tree in Armenia’s Defense Park.
