Serzh Sargsyan presided over the out of turn session of Government

YEREVAN, JUNE 18, ARMENPRESS: President of Armenia Serzh Sargsyan on June 18 presided over the out of turn session of the Government. Armenpress was informed from President’s press office that before coming to the agenda of the session, President congratulated the members of the Government on occasion of appointment and mentioned the main part of ministers continue their work in new Government, new ministers have also been appointed who have managerial and organizational working skills. Prime Minister Tigran Sargsyan presented the program of Armenian Government which was approved. It will be presented to National Assembly. The decision on Government’s initiative to convene out of turn session of National Assembly was approved during the session. According to the decision, the Government suggested the President of National Assembly to convene out of turn session of National Assembly. The Leader of the state wished the members of newly formed Government at the end of the session good luck. President said: “I think nobody doubts here that we will carry out extensive and hard work. The huge debt of confidence that we received from our electors has doubled our responsibility. Nobody must doubt the resoluteness and rigorousness which we take to work” In President’s words to win the elections does not mean to rest on the laurels, just the opposite: “Nobody has promised us laurels. We have been sent here to work selfless with the sense of duty. After the elections we will be far open for the society. It means that the steps of the members of the Government will be followed not only by the President and Parliament but also by the society. The new Government must have new level of quality” said Serzh Sargsyan. He highlighted that significant changes have not taken place in Government which speaks about the intention to continue the planned processes and reforms. “It does not mean that we will not expect significant changes from the Government” highlighted the President. In his opinion the most important acquisition of previous years was the reform of Armenian economy, the new style of working with personal sector, the activation of impulsive function of the state which gave opportunity to secure new investments and technological solutions. “The chain of changes must include all directions. The results of the reforms must be visible for each citizen” said Serzh Sargsyan. He called all the members of the Government to pay attention to the villages and villagers. “Be near the villager and the village will give doubled results. We expect from the activities of the Government 7 percent economic growth. We have to lay strong basis for stable development, the reduce poverty and its complete elimination. In his words after the Presidential elections the issue of Government should again be reverberated to and estimation must be given to the work of the executive body according to the Constitution. “I think that our issues are clear for everyone. I wish success to the new Government of Armenia. Many things in coming years will be due to these successes, if not everything” said the President of the Republic of Armenia.
