Headed by Serzh Sargsyan, RPA leads to systematic reforms

YEREVAN, FEBRUARY 24, ARMENPRESS: The list of the Republican Party of Armenia will be headed by the President of the country Serzh Sargsyan, vice chairman of the National Assembly, spokesperson for the RPA Eduard Sharmazanov told Armenpress, stressing that there could not have been any other opinion in this issue.

"The classical approach is that the head of the party must top the proportional list and lead the party throughout the pre-electoral fight," Sharmazanov said. He said the party members are united, full of will and belief and ready to continue the course of reforms in the country.

"The party is determined, ready to be engaged in the campaign and is confident in its force. We will make systematic changes in almost all the spheres," the RPA spokesperson said, expressing conviction that as a result of the reforms we will have more developed and protected society. "The latest local self-governance elections showed that in spite of many issues, the majority of the society ties the solution of its issues and the future of its children with the RPA," Sharmazanov said.

Referring to the claims that there are certain wings in the RPA trying to have "quotas" in the proportional list of the party, Sharmazanov stressed that there are no wings in the party, all are united over President Serzh Sargsyan.
