About 1252 citizens have made use of subsidized agricultural loans in the Armenian province of Gegharkunik. With the decision of the Armenian government 200 million AMD was provided in spring 2011 to the Ministry of Finance for subsidizing the loans provided to the sphere of agriculture. The amount of money though has been increased by the government during the year because of great demand.
Agricultural subsidized loans are being provided in Armenian dram. It relives the farmer from the risks of fluctuation of currency. Armenpress correspondent reports from Gegharkunik that the total cost of the provided loans amounted to 934 million 600 thousand AMD.
