The construction of the building being built within the framework of the "Assistance to the Apartment Construction for Young Families" social program has been stopped from March 1 of the running year. The level of the Voghj River flowing near the building has raised more than expected and the waters started to flow into the dug foundation. The construction works launched in October 2010 and were planned to be completed in November 2012.
The director of the construction company – "International Development and Construction" – Gurgen Hovhannisyan told Armenpress that they did not plan it. The construction has been temporarily suspended till the water level goes down. "The works are intended to be resumed in late July. At that time corresponding steps will be undertaken to avoid such issues in future. In case of success the building will be ready in early 2013", Hovhannisyan said.
