Prime Minister says Ministries must refuse making cash expenses

YEREVAN, MAY 20, ARMENPRESS:

At the cabinet sitting today the government approved the measurement of expenses made in advance by the state establishments on the account of 2011 budget means. Finance Minister Vache Gabrielyan said though they are for the circulation policy of credit cards but a number of state bodies say it is impossible to fully pass to this system. He said currently only the staff of the government has passed to the purchasing through credit cards.

"The staff of the government, by dismissing the cash, is trying to show for already two years that no issues raise in respect of business trips, purchasing and representative expenses. In that case what hampers the rest ministries to completely pass to this system", the prime minister asked. The finance minister said that in reality there are objective difficulties in certain places. Vache Gabrielyan singled out the difficulty of working through credit cards in remote areas as there are no automatic teller machines there. In spite of it the prime minister once again insisted to work with ministries and demand explanations. He said it is unacceptable when certain services – computer, property, equipment renting, acquirement of transport materials are done in cash.
