As a result of cooperation between Armenia’s Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sports and OpenAI, all public schools in Armenia will have access to ChatGPT Edu starting from the 2026-2027 academic year.
The ministry said users can access the platform through their personal accounts on my.emis.am by clicking the OpenAI button, which takes them directly to the ChatGPT account provided to their school.
Guidelines have been developed for school principals, deputies, subject-methodology unit heads and teachers to ensure proper use of ChatGPT Edu. The guidelines are endorsed by the National Center for Education Development and Innovation.
The unified educational tool is intended to improve education quality and help students develop practical skills through the use of AI.
