Pashinyan extends condolences over death of theater director Hrachya Gasparyan

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has expressed condolences to the family of Hrachya Gasparyan, the renowned theater director and recipient of the People’s Artist of Armenia title, who passed away on Thursday at the age of 80.

The Prime Minister’s Office released his statement:

“I learned with deep sorrow of the death of People’s Artist of the Republic of Armenia Hrachya Gasparyan.

Hrachya Gasparyan’s contribution to the development of Armenian theater arts is invaluable.

Through his pedagogical and creative activities, he made a significant contribution both to cultural life and to educating and shaping a new generation at the Yerevan State Institute of Theatre and Cinema.

On behalf of the Government of the Republic of Armenia and myself, I extend my deepest condolences to Hrachya Gasparyan’s family, relatives, colleagues, as well as to all admirers of Armenian theater arts.”
