Poland extradites wanted cybercrime fugitive to Armenia

Polish authorities have approved the Armenian Prosecutor-General’s motion to extradite a fugitive wanted for cybercrime and money laundering.
The accused is identified by the Prosecutor-General’s Office only by the initials G.K.
According to the Prosecutor-General’s Office, G.K. is accused of illegally obtaining information stored in a computer network as part of an organized group, causing significant damage to the victim; using specially designed malware to unlawfully modify information stored in a computer network for financial gain; committing large-scale theft of another person’s property using computer technology as part of an organized group; and laundering especially large amounts of criminal proceeds as part of an organized group.
At the instruction of the Prosecutor-General’s Office, Armenian police officers ensured G.K.’s transfer from Poland to Yerevan.
