Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan chaired a meeting with officials to discuss institutional reforms in the technical supervision of construction quality.
According to a readout from the Prime Minister’s Office, Chairman of the Urban Development Committee Yeghiazar Vardanyan presented details on the digitalization of technical supervision and the modernization of relevant regulations.
The measures are aimed at improving project review and quality, introducing a new pricing policy, rating construction and development companies, encouraging the use of international building certification systems, and developing the system for the management and operation of apartment buildings.
Officials said the reforms are expected to bring all parties involved in the process together within a single electronic system, enable online approvals, record work in real time, provide supervisory bodies with online access to information, ensure transparency and oversight, and improve construction quality.
In this context, discussions were held on the introduction, scalability, operation and maintenance of a system for managing construction projects and conducting technical supervision.
The Prime Minister stressed the importance of efforts to ensure and strengthen construction quality control, emphasizing the need to verify compliance with standards at all stages. He instructed officials to launch the necessary steps to introduce the system.
