Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met with President Masoud Pezeshkian of the Islamic Republic of Iran in Tehran.
According to the Armenian Prime Minister's Office, Pashinyan once again extended his condolences over the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, stressing that Armenia shares the grief of the Iranian people.
President Pezeshkian thanked Prime Minister Pashinyan for traveling to Tehran to attend the official farewell ceremony for Ali Khamenei. He noted that the Islamic Republic of Iran highly appreciates the position adopted by the Armenian government toward Iran during a difficult period, as well as the humanitarian assistance it provided.
Pezeshkian also congratulated Pashinyan on his victory in the parliamentary elections and expressed confidence that bilateral relations would continue to develop and strengthen steadily.
The two sides also exchanged views on issues of regional importance, emphasizing the need for continued efforts to strengthen peace, stability, and regional cooperation.
