The Foreign Affairs Committee of the Armenian Parliament approved a proposal to form parliamentary friendship groups with Oman, Colombia, and the Dominican Republic.
“Armenia has begun a fairly active dialogue with Oman. Last year, the Republic of Armenia opened a resident embassy in Oman,” said Committee Chairman, MP Sargis Khandanyan.
Referring to Colombia, Khandanyan noted that the proposal to create a friendship group came from the Colombian side.
“The Colombian side is interested in strengthening inter-parliamentary relations,” he said.
The idea of creating a friendship group with the Dominican Republic arose during a meeting between parliamentarians from the two countries.
