Arayik Harutyunyan, the Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister’s Office, met with displaced persons from Karabakh who have settled in Armenia’s city of Abovyan and nearby communities.
In a statement on social media, Harutyunyan said that officials from government ministries also participated in the meeting.
“A few days ago, I held a meeting at Abovyan Town Hall with our compatriots who were displaced from Karabakh and have since settled in Abovyan and surrounding communities. During the meeting, discussions focused on housing and social programs, the importance of education, and other pressing issues. Government representatives responded to numerous questions from participants and provided the necessary clarifications. Most questions concerned social conditions, employment opportunities, and housing provision programs. The government representatives addressed the issues individually, taking into account each family’s structure and needs, proposed the most suitable programs implemented by the government, and provided targeted guidance. In cases of larger families with many children, the issues raised were also considered within the framework of all programs run by the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs,” Harutyunyan said, adding that such meetings are held regularly.
