Regulatory body to discuss revoking ENA’s license

The Public Services Regulatory Commission is set to discuss the potential revocation of Electric Networks of Armenia’s (ENA) license.

The agenda item is included in the Commission’s November 13 meeting.

ENA is owned by billionaire tycoon Samvel Karapetyan’s Tashir Group of Companies.

Earlier this year, the Armenian parliament approved a bill allowing the government to temporarily take over the management of Electric Networks of Armenia (ENA) before nationalizing the company or changing its ownership. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan accused ENA executives of mismanagement, stating that it had nearly triggered an energy crisis in the country. ENA has denied these accusations. The government appointed a provisional administrator to the company.
