Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan has denied the opposition’s claims that there is apathy and hate within the society.
“The prevailing narrative among some opposition circles is that there is tension, apathy, and hate in Armenia. Yet, as I view footage of the mass Vardavar celebrations, I ask myself: where is that tension, apathy, and hate? The apathy, tension, and hate of a pseudo‑elite group must not be projected onto the people. In 2021, people believed in the future; today, the people realize that the future has arrived. The future is now. Glory to the martyrs, and long live the Republic of Armenia,” Pashinyan stated on social media on Monday, a day after the nationwide Vardavar festivities.
