PM Pashinyan, Montenegro’s Deputy PM discuss bilateral ties

Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan met on Tuesday with Montenegro’s Deputy Prime Minister for Foreign and European Affairs, Filip Ivanović.

The Prime Minister welcomed Ivanović’s visit to Armenia and expressed confidence that it would give new impetus to the further development of bilateral relations.

PM Pashinyan reaffirmed the Armenian government’s commitment to enhancing cooperation with Montenegro across political, economic, and other sectors.

Deputy Prime Minister Ivanović conveyed warm greetings from Montenegro’s Prime Minister to Pashinyan and emphasized the consistent development of traditional relations between the two countries.

Outlining the purpose of his visit, Ivanović stated that it was aimed at exploring further opportunities and steps to promote bilateral cooperation.

In this context, the parties discussed expanding trade and economic ties, as well as cooperation in education and tourism. They also stressed the importance of increasing flights between the two countries to facilitate human connections and deepen business ties. Views were exchanged on strengthening cooperation between the capitals, Yerevan and Podgorica.

Addressing regional issues, the sides touched upon the draft agreement “On the Establishment of Peace and Interstate Relations between Armenia and Azerbaijan.”

 Prime Minister Pashinyan reaffirmed the Armenian government’s commitment to the peace agenda. In turn, Ivanović expressed Montenegro's support for efforts to ensure peace and stability in the region.
