Armenia and Rwanda discuss opportunities for defence cooperation

First Deputy Minister of Defence and Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Lieutenant General Edvard Asryan, received the newly appointed Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Rwanda to the Republic of Armenia, Joseph Nzabamwita, the Armenian Ministry of Defence said.

The meeting was also attended by Rwanda’s Defence Attaché to Armenia, Colonel Anthony B. Mpagaze.

Lieutenant General Edvard Asryan congratulated the ambassador on assuming office and wished him success in his responsible mission.

During the meeting, the sides discussed opportunities for cooperation between Armenia and Rwanda in the field of defence. They also exchanged views on issues of mutual interest.

The ambassador conveyed to the Chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces warm greetings from Rwanda’s Chief of Defence Staff and expressed readiness to develop bilateral relations.
