Armenian Foreign Ministry expresses condolences over earthquake in Myanmar and neighboring countries

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia has expressed condolences over the devastating earthquake in Myanmar, Thailand, and neighboring countries.
"Shocked to hear of the terrible earthquake that struck Myanmar, Thailand and neighboring countries, causing the loss of so many lives. Our prayers remain with all those affected, with wishes for swiftly overcoming the consequences of this disaster,'' the ministry said in a post on X.
At least 1002 people died and over 2376 were injured in the two consecutive earthquakes that hit Myanmar and were felt in neighboring Thailand, as well as in China, Cambodia, Bangladesh, and India. The quakes measured 7.7 and 6.4 on the Richter scale.
