The new European Parliament, formed in the 2024 June elections, is committed to further deepen ties with Armenia given the experience of cooperation in the past, Latvian MEP Nils Ušakovs has said.
Ušakovs is the co-chair of the EU-Armenia Parliamentary Partnership Committee.
Speaking at the 4th meeting of the committee in Yerevan, he noted that he was not a member of the committee in the previous parliament but is ready to continue the cooperation. “I am ready to continue this positive work. I hope you can see the results and see that this European Parliament is committed to further deepening ties with Armenia. This is a commitment that we have across all political groups,” he said.
