Justice Minister meets Iranian ambassador, lauds strong partnership

YEREVAN, DECEMBER 27, ARMENPRESS. Minister of Justice Srbuhi Galyan has held a meeting with the Iranian Ambassador to Armenia Mehdi Sobhani.

During the meeting the minister lauded the multifaceted partnership with friendly Iran, highlighting the close cooperation between the ministries of justice, according to a readout issued by the Armenian justice ministry.

Speaking about the warm relationship between Armenia and Iran, the ambassador attached importance to the continuous improvement of the practice of jointly resolving issues, and quoted the saying “When you open the window, dust comes in along with fresh air.’ In response, the justice minister reiterated that efforts will be combined to swiftly filter and resolve emerging problems.

Several issues pertaining to the justice system of mutual interest were discussed.

Details pertaining to citizens of Iran who are incarcerated in Armenia were discussed. The need for organizing the second upcoming session of the Armenia-Iran judicial and legal working group in Tehran was reiterated.
